Living for the weekend

Well actually it looks like I'm going to be working in the weekend throughout April and May to start with doing lizard work again on canvey....

Anyway we had an eventful weekend....

Me, rich, celeste, dave and jo met Ian at Wimbeldon for some drinks on saturday night which led to:

a) Us seeing some plonker get his head (note only head, not the arms, legs etc..) in the door of the tube just as it was about to take off. The sheer logistics of head getting stuck in the door is highly amusing...

b) Jo getting shitty at Dave and proudly announcing at the Wimbeldon tube station 'F@ck you all' to all of us. I had to mediate

c) The dumb tube being delayed which led to a slightly drunk Carly in agony and dying to go to the toilet with no hope in catching the last connecting tube home from Earl's Court....

d) Once out poor Celeste having to sheild poor Carly while she peed between two cars down a side street once we were out of the station...

e) Witnessing a massive fight which included lots of blood (welcome to london Cest!) and weapons consisting of a chain with something attached to it and a broken bottle.

We missed the last tube anyway and got a black cab home....

Ahhhh go on!

Today is Wednesday and its approximately 13.43

My current tea tally for the day is 4.....

Plus I will most likely have one when i get home and one after dinner!

I don't like mondays.....

Today is particularly bad because:

a) I feel like I'm still hungover from the weekend (NB: I have now 'christened' Gloucester Road station also....)

b) Its cold outside

c) Its cold inside (NB: the heaters aren't working properly AGAIN)

d) We have been doing the dumb burn-the-peanut-and-see-how-it-heats-up-water experiment and now the lab smells like burnt peanuts which im sure is going to make me physically sick

e) And I have to stay for a dumb staff meeting tonight, and I can't get a lift home with Celine tonight.

All in all its angry, tired, sleepy Carly today.

I think I might have fish fingers for dinner....... mmmmmmmmm homemade fish burgers.

As terribly bored I am at the moment (I know I should be doing some work!!) I googled my name on www.google.co.nz and found all sorts of out-of-date information mainly to do with work NB: If anyone from Kaipatiki reads this theres a lot of out of date information on heaps that need changing!!!

St Paddys Day!!

Yay its St Paddys day on friday and guess who has a half day that day..... ME!!! Woohooo its funny how when you are here you always end up celebrating things you were never too fussed about in NZ- maybe just another excuse to drink??? And it doesn't help that there is also the England Vs Ireland 6 nations game on the saturday too! Doh!

Life and times of woodfield

Heres whats happened this week

• Rukaiya told me she hated me (again!!!) and that she wished I'd go away
• John Paul told me to f@ck off when I asked him what colour acid turns with Universal Indiacator (this is all his vocabulary consists of)
• Mohammed Saed has called me Kylie Minouge all week and just thinks its the funniest thing ever
• Free chocolate cake in the staffroom
• I get to go on a course next week
• And I'm taking the girls football team for an all day tournament next week too
• Ryan turned up to class with a huge blob of blu tack stuck to his face and refused to take it off
• Hibo, likewise but with sunglasses
• And the best of all, deputy head Nick comes in and announces theres a gas leak by the main school gates and as a precaution until fixed we couldn't turn off or on any applicances- this was when the lights of off because we were watching a clip on the computer, thus the next two classes were spent in the dark!

For once in my life I actually like my job!!

The lent/chocolate thing didn't quite happen seeing as I finished the aforementioned chocolate bar last night...

So........

I've decided to give up chocolate for lent- I did do this successfully a couple of years ago.... the only problem is that I have half a king-size block of cadbury's mint crisp sitting on the kitchen at home....

Im not sure if ill last the full 24 hours....
