What is up with this world????

Upon conversation with a few people, I really have just come to the conclusion that the current state of the world sucks. I haven't even seen An Inconvenient Truth yet, but it all sucks.

From the god-awful High School killings in Colorado, to the idiot on the bus that donned a tee-shirt with the words 'Eat, Fuck, Kill' emblazoned on his tee-shirt, Im just beginning to wonder whether this world is fit to raise and bring up kids.....

Football and look alikes

WELL the big game was absolutely fantastic, so much fun, despite the Phill Neville of Woodfield school fluffing a great chance at goal..... ahhhhh well we went down 5-4. Bring on Kingsbury High School, I say! I have been dubbed the 'Emma Erdwin' of school because I was the only girl playing, and we have this nutcase girl at school who refuses to play for the girls teams, and has slightly confused gender issues.

Anyway I have decided that a few premiership players look like other famous people so what do you reckon about Edwin Van Der Sar (Goalkeeper for ManU) and Matthew Bellamy, frontman of Muse?

If he had black hair, of course...

And what about Sami Hyypia (Liverpool defender) and the Karma Sutra King, Sting (ha that rhymes!)

Fuzzy head

I seem to be experiencing some post-hangover psychosis this morning..... I managed to knock the tea bag out of my cup, bent over to pick it up and wacked my head in full front of half the staff in the staffroom- I cracked the biggest joke about caves which wasn't even funny and I just seem to be a bit mental today....
If its not that its Daniel Kennedy who is sitting on the computer next to me (Im covering IT club at lunchtime today coz its raining outside....) and has asked me for the 10th millionth time if I like trains....... gotta love those kids : )

Da big game preview

On friday, 22nd of September the Woodfield Staff Football team will debut against Chingford High School, David Beckham's old high school nonetheless!

With Carly Pannell's (Woodfields answer to Phil Neville..... can't think of anyone else who plays at right back....) first game of 11 a side in a whole 2 years PE teacher extraordinaire, Mr Mellor at the helm, the game is sure to go down to the wire....

Hmmmmm I need to give up my useless attempts at journalism (cf with my attempts as a 10 year old on Mels Blog but anyway Im so so so so so excited. Im just worried that I'll be knackered by the end of the game. Hopefully we will have a sub.

On sad note, Im gutted that Richard Hammond, Top Gear, legend is critically injured whilst trying to break the british land speed record! The show won't be the same without him and I really hope he makes it!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

I just tried for 20 minutes to get tickets to see The Killers play at Brixton in November but to no avail..... either the website was down or there were no tickets available...

And then, to my horror they were selling them on ebay a couple of hours later for 150 pounds.

I just hate people who do that with a passion. What about the real fans?????????

Wednesday night with Jonathan Ross.....

Yay last night me and my flatties went and saw the filming of Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.... think the UK version of David Letterman or something, except Jonathan Ross is actually hillarious and is a big UK superstar.....

Anyway his guests last night, that I saw in the flesh were none other than Will Ferrel, Julianne Moore and Sir Terrry Wogan (big UK broadcasting legend).... but wait the Scissor Sisters performed too- I don't feel like dancing.....

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cool!

Double woohoo!

Exciting..... I've booked tickets to Iceland in April! Ive always wanted to go!!!!!!!!

Bring it on baby!

Friday, September 08, 2006

woohoo!

If I'd posted anything on Wednesday it would have been that everything sucks as it was the first day back at school for all the kids and I was just wrecked and having a bad day in general.... and I'd lost my keys to all the classrooms and lab etc. after the second day- the day after we had a massive lecture from the deputy head about looking after our keys etc. etc..... HOW COOL DID I FEEL????

Well today is Friday and Im in the best mood ever! Ive started walking to Ealing to catch the bus to work, instead of catching the bus up there and changing.... the weather is really nice- despite being a bit cold in the mornings and evenings.... My keys turned up in some random classroom I don't even go into (someone must have picked them up which is really really annoying, actually!) AND my tax return had just been paid so Im rich rich rich (probably only for a few months hehehehe!)

Yayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayay

Things are on the up : )

The BIG GAME preview

Well this post is the pre-match build up between the EDAW terriers and the Cheeky Monkeys.

The last clash saw the EDAW terriers go down 16-1, reminscent of a Middlesbrough loss or something. hehehehehe Dad! With an evil Spaniard who goes by the game of Elisbet Valls netting a mere 11 goals. Ouch!

EDAW terriers are back on the up with a few good wins under their belts after a long absence, due to game cancellations, and a hard-fought 2-2 draw with second placed Camden All-Stars two weeks ago was a vast improvement on previous outings against the side.

So we are on the up! Rumour has it that Jaz 'scoring machine' Cooper has been called in to cover injury, Celeste 'show us your growler' Morgan is thirsty for goals and Carly 'kick em while their down' Pannell will be looking for a strong game, despite recent illness, and has been giving the task of shutting down the evil Spaniard before she has the chance to start banging em in. Maybe the odd 'accidental' kick of the shins.......

BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lack of sleep now..............

For some reason I just had a horrendous sleep last night.... and you know how you always think about really random stuff......

Well....................

This morning at 3am when I was tossing and turning I decided that if there was a letter of the alphabet that would sum Carly Pannell up it would be F

for food, football and fun.

What a big revelation!!
