The Coral and the Manic Street Preachers

Several thursdays ago I had the immense pleasure of seeing the Manic Street Preachers play at the Shepperds Bush Empire with support from The Enemy which I am pleased to say recognised two songs from too! It was a great gig, and it was awesome to note the James Dean Bradfield has got an amazing voice. Oh and Nicky Wire is a freak, judging from his lunges across the stage wearing a mini skirt. I repeat- FREAK. It was good to see some good old classics- especially Motorcycle Empitness, Design for Life and Everything must go. Yay for the good old days.....

Here's a bad pic from that one anyway....

And finally last night, myself and the fabulous Helen went and saw The Coral with support from Kate Nash at Astoria. To be honest they were very flat, and didn't have much in the way of enthusiasm and stage presence which was a shame. Having said that I was such a big fan a couple of years back, and I was stoked that they played loads of cool old stuff- they opened with Spainish Main, and all the other goodies- very happy with Bill McCai which they played off the coolest album, Magic and Medicine.
Here are the lads anyways strumming away...
