Whilst on the topic of funny quotes- this one from my neighbour is a real doozey...
I went around to give Jane some chocolates to say thanks for giving us the concert tickets and she was saying about how nice the weather is and how it was a really nice warm night for the concert blah blah....
and so she goes....
"Carly, we learn to appreciate the weather in this wonderful country of ours!"
I was in stitches when I came back in.... har har how awfully posh. But oh so neighbourly-nice.... nice neighbourly warm fuzzies!
