LAST DAY!

Thank god! Ive just been out in the hot hot heat and i just feel absolutely drained. Looking forward to a nice cold pint after work and maybe a cold shower when i get home.

Its been such a great year at school anyway and im definitely looking forward to another year. Its also sad to say goodbye to some of the staff who are leaving, Richard whose going back to Australia and Hamish whose going to a job in Hokitika- imagine going from living it up in London to small-town Hokitika! Poor guy.

Im just too tired to do anything. I need a bed to go to sleep right now

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Oh and the end of year bbq was awesome and I wasn't too drunk. Lots of good food and we had a bit of a sing song! I just work with the coolest peoples!

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

Thursday........ 1 DAY TO GO!

Some stupid spamming company has gone and posted their shite on all my comments on my posts. Soooooooo annoying!!

So its Thursday... and Arshad is off so I took the liberty of entertaining the little ones with 'A bugs life' its such a cool movie, although im going to be on my third viewing very shortly.

And in other news the disabled parking badge was found. Thank god it was going to be a very expensive mission replacing that. I felt really bad about it.

Well tonight is the end of year staff BBQ and rounders! If the Xmas party was anything to go by Im sure there'll be carnage. The good news is that my slippers have been put away so I don't randomly puke on them. I have my camera anyways.

They are playing Whats the story morning glory on xfm- that song was released 11 years ago!!!!! Now thats a very scary thought!

I just have a free lesson to kill if you can't tell. I just want the day to be over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

TUESDAY....... 3 days to go....

We seem to be having a heatwave at the moment; not exactly perfect timing for our year 9 trip to the London Zoo that I had to endure today. A nice and healthy 33 degrees and rumour has it that tomorrow is either a) going to be the hottest day on record in London/UK or b) the hottest day in 100 years. Either way its going to be roasting (35 degrees according to the BBC)

Sir, Miss can we go on the bouncy castle....

This was followed by a lengthy lecture from good old Arshad about how the school could be sued if one of the kids got injured on the bouncy castle and it wasn't specified on the risk assessment blah blah blah, which of course the kids didn't understand (although i think it was very mean) and resulted in the entire class being pissed off as they had been on a bouncy castle on a trip the previous day. All this under the blazing hot sun and we had barely been half and hour into the trip. Shane is particular was completely fed up and we ended up loosing him not once but twice (and therefore was sent back to the bus with the other TA Joel who drove us there) as he just walked off in a huff...

But anyway the Zoo was really cool and im planning to go back at some point to have a much better look around at my leisure. Here are some animal pictures:

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN.......

MONDAY.......... 4 days to go....

Imagine my joy to discover that I only have two classes today. Even better this morning has flown by. Im so over school, the classroom is like a sauna and Im struggling to keep my eyes open, let alone those poor kids.

Arshad is on particular form today... deciding to start a completely new module of work on the last week (and will all the different activities there will only be one lesson.........)

And of course the module is HUMAN REPRODUCTION to be taught to the year 7's

Best question so far is from Khalid (with the utmost sincerity......) Sir, sir, sir (he stammers) Do you have to have sex once a week?

Absolute gold........

Its now midday and Mohammed Saed has informed me that I look like a need a 5 year vacation and a strong whiskey... wise words from a 14 year old!

actually

Whilst on the topic of funny quotes- this one from my neighbour is a real doozey...

I went around to give Jane some chocolates to say thanks for giving us the concert tickets and she was saying about how nice the weather is and how it was a really nice warm night for the concert blah blah....

and so she goes....

"Carly, we learn to appreciate the weather in this wonderful country of ours!"

I was in stitches when I came back in.... har har how awfully posh. But oh so neighbourly-nice.... nice neighbourly warm fuzzies!

Fun on friday night

What do you get went you have alcohol + transformers season 1 and 2 on dvd + one friday night.....

HOURS of entertainment!

Here are some quotes that i scribbled down in my drunk state whilst richie proceeded to rewind the dvd constantly every time I found something funny which was every 5 seconds (just 4 pages worth...) but aren't really that funny anymore but ah well.......

Wheeljack: Right now the water is harder than any substance we know
Brawn (in reply): Not as hard as my hydraulic knuckles

Brawn to Huffer: Stifle it Huffer or I'll put my footio in your audio

And imagine my delight when they introduce a character called Carly!!!!! And at some point there were comments made by the carly watching it to cartoon carly stating she should 'ride' Optimus Prime.

Spike: Carly would you like to go for an emulsified CO2 with lactic acid?
Carly: Whats that?
Spike: Chocolate soda

Megatron to Starscream: What's a test without a guninea pigatron

AND MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE...

Wheeljack to Starscream as they grapple in the air: I'll shove your nose up your afterburner

And whilst we are still on the topic of Transformers Imagine my joy to be informed theres going to be an new transformers the Movie in April next year....... SO CAN'T WAIT!!!!

So what have I been up to recently.....?

I realise I do post some meaningless shite sometimes so heres a bit of an update of what I've been up to....

Over June I was have been working for Catherine in the weekends, but as you know theres been a bit of a pay mix-up and my proclaimation that I would never work for her ever ever ever again. I have never known a person to be so slack at paying her employees and treating them the way she does. 'Nuff said.

Ive had plenty to do in the weekend..... bbqs, birthday do's and going away do's... most of my sundays have consisted of myself, plonked on the couch moaning about my hangover and lack of money because I spent it all the previous night.

Music-wise I'm particularly loving the new Muse, the Kooks and Razorlight singles, and have got tickets to see Razorlight in November. Might be going to see Elbow tonight at Sommerset House and will be seeing Bell X1 (it used to be Damien Rice's band) who sound really good to. In the words of Mel- yay for music!

Sport-wise...... So sad now the football is finished! I was surfing the tv with the remote last night and there was absolute shite. I resorted to watching old re-runs of friends before I fell asleep and went to bed at the good old time of 9pm! But I have been keeping busy playing 5 a side football with my team on mondays and touch rugby with my workmates on thursdays.

Work-wise everything is just peachy! I get a pay rise at the start of the new school year in September and will be staying on for another year, unless I get completely fed up ..... anyway I've got to do heaps of fun stuff this year- have been on oodles of football and tournaments, a three day residential and an overnight cricket trip so its good to branch out of the science lab. I actually came to the conclusion the other day that if I was to become a teacher I think I'd rather be a PE teacher. Funny huh? Maybe biology too, although the desire isn't really there.....

Thats about it really.... just plodding along and wondering where on earth the year has gone??!

My very lovely

and rather posh next door neighbour Jane rang our door bell last night and was like (very formally) 'Hello Carly.... two things....'

So I though to myself... oh god she is either going to moan about a) the tv/stereo being too loud especially as our lounge window is always open... b) the rubbish smells or c) My loud talking/swearing/burping when having dinner and talking to people out in the garden (theirs is adjacent to ours so if they are in the garden they would be able to hear our conversations...)

But anyway the 'thing' number one was that they are going to have some building done next week and wanted to check to see if that was ok with us

So she carries on...

'and the other thing... and I know its short notice....' so then I thought ... hmmm shes going to invite us over for a bbq.... slightly wierd.....

but actually she then proceeded to offer me two 30 pound tickets to see Jools Holland (of Later with Jools Holland Fame) and his swing band playing at Kew Gardens- (only a handy 10 minute bus ride from ours) as her husband was sick and they couldn't go! Brilliant.

I did feel slightly uncultured, especially not really being a big rythmn and blues fan but it was a really good night and rich and I scored free cheese and icecream... what more could you want really!?

Heres good old jools!

Well with the help of 9LM we did the first, in many (myself and the DT teacher Paul are a bit obessed with it now and are in the midst of planning bigger and better experiments!) diet coke and mentos experiments. It was actually quite fun getting to lead the lesson... and the kids really enjoyed it!

A new and improved Carly

After much anger this morning.... involving a particular ex-boss-come-part-time-boss I have come to the conclusion I need to stand up for myself and not to take shit from people.

Therefore I am changing into the new and improved Carly starting from tomorrow.... (I'll allow myself at least one day to moan to people about it and for them to say 'ra ra I told you so' just for a bit of punishment)

I'll be drinking to you tonight, Catherine for all the grief you have given me over the last year..... and I'll be plotting some form of revenge mwaaa hahahahahahahahahahahaha!
